Linda R. Haney

Linda R. Haney, 85, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025 in Altercare Majora Lane at Millersburg, following a period of declining health.

Born at Dover, Linda was the daughter of the late Eugene W. and Catherine D. (Dow) Lab and had formerly worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.

Linda was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover and in her spare time, enjoyed working puzzles, putting together jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, doing embroidery work and spending time with her family. 

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Carl) Jones of New Philadelphia and Cheryl Davis of Uhrichsville; two sons, Randy Kaufman and Don Kaufman both of Newport, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Gavin Jones, Travis Davis, Sean Jones and Chance Davis; two step-grandchildren, Kelly Jones and Kristen Trivoli; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of her 12th great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by four sisters, Jeanne Schupbach, Margaret Burtscher, Nancy Davidson, Ruth Swaney and three brothers, Don Lab, Richard Lab and David Lab.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and there are no public services to be scheduled.
