Lillian Pauline Waltz

Lillian Pauline Waltz, 79, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, March 30, 2009 in Union Hospital at Dover.A daughter of the late Gibson and Grace (Kuhn) Carlisle, Lillian was born November 9, 1929 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.On July 3, 1954, Lillian married the love of her life, Jack L. Waltz. The couple raised one daughter, Sandra L. Waltz. Lillian and Jack shared 34 years of marriage prior to his passing on November 29, 1988.Lillian was formerly employed at East Sparta Ceramics and the Belmont Stamping & Enameling Company. She was a former member of Companions of America.She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Waltz of New Philadelphia; a sister, Margaret Ann Peoples of Youngstown; sisters-in-law, Martha Carlisle of Dover and Lois (Ben) Brady of Uhrichsville; Brother-in-law, Michael (Polly) Bricker of St. Petersburg, Florida; many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Cocoa.Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack, a sister, Delores Jean Smith; three brothers, Robert, Chester and Fuzzy Carlisle and a sister-in-law, Nancy Hanks.Friends may call on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Lillian’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Hugh Berry officiating.
