Lillian Marguerite (Davis) Roseberry, 97, of Dover, died peacefully December 31, 2002. Born March 13, 1905 in Three Rivers, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Winifred Finley Davis. Her beloved husband of 68 years, Harold Roseberry preceded her in death on August 7, 1995.Lillian lived her life for her family and her community. She was raised in Michigan, and was one of the first comptometer operators in the state and worked for Graybar Electric Company in Grand Rapids, MI. There she was president of the Methodist Women Christian Association and was active in the establishment of the first League of Women Voters unit in the area. She was always a part of community activities such as local Village Players, Girl Scouts, horseshows, rodeos, parades and holiday celebrations. One summer, she and Harold chaperoned a group of young ballet dancers on a tour through Europe. In retirement, after working a short time as a real estate agent in Mt. Clemens, MI, she and Harold spent their golden years in San Marcos, CA. Their time was filled with travels in their motor home, ocean fishing, watching baseball, playing bridge and shuffleboard. Throughout her life, Lillian found great pleasure as an accomplished painter. In the latter years of their lives, she and Harold lived in a retirement community, The Ponce De Leon, in Santa Fe, NM near their daughter, Sally Evans. Lillian’s final move was in August 2001, to Dover, where she resided at the Park Village Retirement Community near her daughter Sue Worley.
