Lillian Devlin

Lillian Kay Devlin, age 83, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, while in the care of Ohio’s Hospice Truman House.

Born on July 22, 1941, in Twin City Hospital at Dennison, Lillian was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Ellia M. Columbo Perko.

Lillian obtained a Bachelor of Education from Nazareth College in Bardstown, Kentucky and a Master’s of Education from Xavier University. Professionally, Lillian spent many years as an educator and Principal for New Philadelphia City Schools South Elementary.

She was a member of the former St. Therese Catholic Church in Wainwright and Sacred Heart Church at New Philadelphia. Lillian enjoyed traveling, shopping, being a part of various church activities, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by a brother, Frank C. (Janet) Perko of Yorkville, Illinois; two nieces, Pastors Melissa (Jordan) Gash of Yorkville, Illinois, and Ashley (Jeffrey) Bodin of Sugar Grove, Illinois; great nieces, Hannah, Hallie, and Haven Gash; great-nephews, Isaac Gash, and Benjamin Bodin as well as numerous friends.

In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Joe Pangrazio.

The family will greet guests one hour prior to services on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 10 AM – 11 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Jeff Coning on Monday at 11 AM. Entombment will follow in the Dover Burial Park. Following services, a reception will be held in the church social hall.
