Lena Boggiani

Lena Boggiani, 88, of Dover, formerly of New Philadelphia, died peacefully Thursday, December 19, 2002, at Union Hospital in Dover.Born in Bannock, OH, on June 3, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Alexander Andreatta. Lena enjoyed quilting and crocheting and had a very kind and giving heart. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, and wife and was a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia, and formerly a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Midvale.Surviving is her daughter, Andrea (Robert) Fox of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Alma Mohn and Josephine Cahaney both of Dover; a brother, Louis Andreatta of Dennison; a granddaughter, Natalie (Chris) Bollon of Uhrichsville; a grandson, Matthew Fox and his son, Hayden of New Philadelphia; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Andreatta of Uhrichsville and Erma Boggiani of Midvale; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her three husbands, Rudy Valentine, Narciso Brunet, and Albert Boggiani, two sisters, two brothers and one grandchild.A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 23, 2002 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia with Msgr. George J. Schlegel officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Dennison following mass. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 22, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM in the funeral home, with a Christian Wake service beginning at 8:30. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart Church, 139 3rd St NE, New Philadelphia, OH, 44663, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
