Lela I Truman

Lela I. Truman, 75, of Dover died Thursday morning, December 2, 2004 at Union Hospital following a six month illness.A daughter of the late Charles G. and Zedith P. Larkin Truman, Lela was born July 10, 1929, in Goshen Twp.She had been employed by, Marlite Manufacturing, until her retirement in 2000 after 48 years of service.Lela was a caring individual, who volunteered at Hospice of Tuscarawas Co., enjoyed knitting, gardening and spending time with her family.She is survived by her sister, Velma L. Truman, of Dover; aunts, Marjorie Larkin, Ellen Stucky, of Dover and Olwen Wilson, of North Canton; an uncle Clarence Larkin of Dover; and numerous cousins, including a special caregiver Doris Bonnell.Lela was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Eddie Ernest.In accordance with Lela’s wishes there will be no public Visitation.Graveside services will be conducted Monday, December 6, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Following the burial a memorial reception will be held at the Geib Family Center.
