Lee D. Gray

Lee D. Gray, 101, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away Thursday June, 8, 2006, in the Schoenbrunn Health Care Center at New Philadelphia.A son of the late J.E. and Mary McCardel Gray, Lee was born November 17, 1904, in Londonderry Township, Guernsey County, Ohio.He was retired from the former Wolfenlanding Sewer Pipe Company, in Dennison. Lee also worked as a garbage collector for many years in the Uhrichsville and Dennison areas, and had worked in the lumber business.He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.He is survived by his daughter-in law, Norma Gray, of Uhrichsville with whom he resided for over thirty years; daughters, Mary E. Basham, of Tippecanoe, O. and Betty Camp, of Cambridge, O.; a niece, Ada Clarke, of Uhrichsville; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred McCullagh Gray, whom he married, September 25, 1922; sons Lee Roy, John Elias and Donald Paul Gray and a granddaughter.In accordance with Lee’s wishes there are no calling hours or services at this time. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
