Lawrence John Kuzawa, age 61, of Mechanicstown, died peacefully, Wednesday, July 03, 2013, under the care of Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia.
Born at Cleveland, Ohio on August 17, 1951, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Dancak) Kuzawa.
Larry, as he was known to family and friends, was a graduate of Brunswick High School and entered into the United States Army serving in Vietnam as a member of the helicopter repair and maintenance team.
Professionally, Larry was a skilled union carpenter for more than 20 years having worked for Keller Hall and Staneck Construction companies prior to joining and ultimately retiring from Wolfcreek Engineering.
In his free time, Larry enjoyed helping others, fishing, hunting, and caring for his beloved cats and dogs. He was also a devout Roman Catholic, having attended numerous churches throughout his lifetime.
He is survived by six siblings, Ann, Theresa, Mary, Stanley, Gerard and James as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. Private inurnment will take place in Western Reserve National Cemetery at Rittman at a later date.
