Lawrence H. Forst

Lawrence H. Forst, 78, of Uhrichsville, formerly New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at his residence, following an extended illness.Born December 5, 1923, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Anna Ruzicka Forst. Lawrence served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and he retired from A.C.M Construction in Chicago where he worked as a civil engineer. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia and a member of the AFLCIO Labor Union.Surviving is his wife of 6 years, Jean A. Johnston Forst of Uhrichsville whom he married January 9, 1996; two daughters, Carol (James) Lullo of Cape Coral, Florida and Linda Forst of Palos Heights, Illinois; three step daughters, Mary Ann Pica of Uhrichsville, Bari (Ed) Yosick of Michigan, Barbara McCollins of New Philadelphia; three grandsons; six step-grandchildren; three step-great grandsons.In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by three brothers.A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 16, 2002, at 10:30 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, New Philadelphia, with Msgr. George J. Schlegel as celebrant. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia.
