Laura M. Corpman, 92, of New Philadelphia passed away March 3, 2007 at Amberwood Manor surrounded by her loving and caring extended family. She had been a resident there for 7 years.Born June 10, 1914 in Warwick Township, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Emma Metzger Corpman. After completing high school, Laura joined the workforce most recently working for the former Belmont Stamping plant and Dover Molded products. Her interests included playing Bingo and cards and she was a member of the Ladies of the Moose.She is survived by a special nephew who took care of her for many years, Virgil Dale Redman; also by nephews, Victor Corpman of Dover, Robert Corpman and Roger Corpman, both of New Philadelphia, Terry Corpman of California, and Glen Foley of Cleveland; nieces, Ann Mlady and Helen Tamerlano, both of Cleveland; and well as her great-nephew, Paul (Cathi Scott) Davis of New Philadelphia.Laura’s only son, Richard Lee Junkins, preceded her in death being taken at the age of 6 in a traffic accident. Other family that preceded Laura include her brothers, Walter, Lewis, Chuck, Irvin, Roy, and William; sisters, Mary Helen and Carrie as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held Wednesday at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at East Avenue Cemetery.
