Laura Allice Rector-Ditto

Laura Alice Rector-Ditto, age 47 of New Philadelphia, died Friday, September 19, 2008, in her home following a brief illness.Born on September 21, 1960, Laura was a daughter of the late Willie and Julia (Smart) Rector.Laura also enjoyed spending time with her family and found comfort in attending church services as her health would allow. Laura also enjoyed craft work such as hand painting ceramic pieces.Through her illness, however, Laura always kept a smile on her face and a positive outlook on her life.She will be sadly missed by her two children, Bill Ditto of Kent and Jennifer Retama-Ditto of New Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Laticia and Magdelena; and her former husband William Ditto of New Philadelphia.Five sisters and four brothers complete the family.In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by one sister and one brother.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, from 12:30 â?? 1:30 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A 1:30 funeral service celebrating Laura’s life will be led by Dr. Fred Wallace in the funeral home’s chapel.Those unable to attend are invited to send the family personal condolences by signing the online guest registry located on the funeral home’s website.Those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to First Federal Community Bank of New Philadelphia where a memorial fund has been established.
