Larry Ray Palmer, age 69 of North Lawrence, Ohio died Thursday, October 11, 2012 in Affinity Medical Center at Massillon.
A son of the late Frances Delbert and Florence Edna (Moore) Palmer, Larry was born at Barberton Hospital on March 11, 1943.
On June 26, 1965, he married the former Rose McPeek and as a couple they reared two daughters.
For 22 years, Larry was employed by the former Bellows Sign Company of Akron where he worked as a welder for the firm. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching classic Western movies as well as a handful of other programs on television.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by two daughters, Sherry Palmer and her companion George Lutz and Tammy Tusing all of North Lawrence and three brothers, Dale Palmer, Earl Palmer, and Bob Palmer.
Completing the family are three grandchildren, Brittany Palmer, Joseph Lutz and Todd Tusing as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kierston Mansfield.
The family will greet guests one hour prior to services on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Rev. Hugh B. Berry will lead a funeral service celebrating Larry’s life in the funeral home’s chapel on Monday at 4:00 PM.
