Larry Reed Fulton, 75, of Dover, passed away July 25, 2018 in the Community Hospice Truman House at New Philadelphia.
Born in Dover on June 30, 1943, he was the son of the late Richard and Maxine Virginia (Nash) Reiss and Harry L. Fulton.
After graduating from New Philadelphia High School in 1961, Larry married the former Elizabeth “Betty” G. Johnson on June 27, 1964. Together, they were blessed with the birth of two sons, Aaron and Adam.
Larry’s professional career spanned nearly 22 years with the Danner Press in Canton before beginning his 15-year service to Dover Chemical as a janitor. He was also an active member of the B.P.O.E. #510 where he tended to the popcorn machine and sold Bingo cards. He also served on the Dover Tornadoes Club for 15 years.
He had a passion for cars, whether it was attending car shows or drag races. In his earlier years, he was a member of the Quarter-Milers club. Larry was also an avid golfer. Most importantly, he loved to serve others in whatever capacity they needed. He was a very kind and generous spirit.
Larry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth, of Dover; his sons, Aaron (Heather) Fulton and Adam (Wynonna) Fulton, both of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Garron Fawcett and Tanner Fulton; his special aunt and uncle, Corinne and Lee McGovern of Canton; and cousins, Brian McGovern, Kelly (Mark) Mallen, Patty (Albert) Grimes, Craig (Judy) Cairns and Bob Fulton.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his uncle and aunts, Roger and Laura Fulton and Gail Currie.
