Larry A. Parsons, age 62, of Bolivar, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Franklin Twp. March 16, 1943, he was the son of the late Fred M Parsons and Deborah Ray Parsons Collar.Following his honorable discharge from the United States Army, he married the former Bertha Ebersole on March 17, 1964.Larry loved God’s creation and spent as much time as possible out of doors, fishing and hunting, or serving as the “special outdoor chef” for the family. He and his wife also enjoyed watching the deer and bluebirds which gathered outside their windows at home. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Mrs. Harry (Devin) Ott of Baltic, Mrs. Ed (Shannon) Mathias of New Phila. and son, Michael Parsons; grandchildren Chelsey and Chad Mathias, Jessa and Blake Ott; five sisters, Gladys Thoburn of New Philadelphia, Mrs. Raymond (Betty) Rothacher of Dover, Mrs. Ilem (Shelby) Weaver Mrs. Gene (Faye) Breehl, both of New Phila., and Connie Butler of Dover; two brothers, Ralph (Ruth) Parsons of Arizona, and Ola (Tizzie) Parsons of New Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby “Sis” Lyles and Nada Parsons; and one brother William “Billy” Parsons and two granddaughters Emily and Bethany Ott.Friends may call at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia on Monday, March 28, from 5 to 8 P.M. where the passing of the light service will be held at 7:45. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor David Blevins in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 12:00 Noon, with burial at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622
