L. Franklin Butler, 74 of Zoarville, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 in Park Village Assisted Living and Retirement Center at Dover.A son of the late Roy and Gladys Butler, Frank was born July 25, 1933 at East Sparta, Ohio.Frank served as a Corporal in the United States Armed Forces from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. He then attended Canton Actual Business College where he majored in accounting. He was employed by Underwriters Adjusting Company, formerly known as Buckeye Union, and then he served as claims manager of Continental Insurance at Canton for several years. Then in 1979, he became a field claims representative for Hamilton Mutual Insurance Company where he remained until his retirement in 1998.He was a lifetime member of the Good Sam Club as well as a charter member of the Tuscarawas County Ruritans. He was an active member of Good Hope Lutheran Church at Zoarville where he served as president of church council for many years. Frank also enjoyed traveling the country.He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Lebold) Butler, whom he married on April 27, 1957; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Jon Charton of Bolivar; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kelly Butler of Medina, Ohio; a granddaughter, Heather Charton of Bolivar; two brothers, Alvin (Barb) Butler of Canton and Robert (Kathleen) Butler of Charlotte, North Carolina; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Bonnie Lebold of Cocoa, Florida; a cousin, Delma Shade of Hebron, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover and again one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. A funeral service celebrating Frank’s life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Good Hope Lutheran Church at Zoarville with Pastor James Kennell officiating. Burial will follow in Ft.
