Kimetha Ann Stutzman, age 53, of New Philadelphia, died early Saturday evening, April 11, 2009, in her home, with her family at her side. Best known as Kim to her family and friends, she was born August 2, 1955 at Dover, a daughter of the late John and Mary Ann Moravecky Kowals. As a young lady, she attended school at Midvale, graduating from Indian Valley North in 1973. Following high school, Kim joined the former Woodard & Bohse LPA, for a brief time before beginning her family life.Kim’s great joy was sharing and expressing her faith to others as a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at New Philadelphia.On April 15, 1978, Kim married Alan Stutzman, whom she had long known from attending congregational meetings together. She devoted herself to making her house a home for her husband, her daughters and her extended family. Kim will be remembered as a selfless caregiver, and as an excellent homemaker. Kim enjoyed spending time outdoors with her family, gardening and tending to the lovely flower beds around her family home. Many memories were made during annual family vacations to Myrtle Beach. Fishing and horseback riding were also pastimes. In addition to her husband, Alan, with whom she would have observed thirty-one years of marriage this week, Kim is survived by two daughters; Ashley and Britney Stutzman, both of the home. A sister, Karen Kowals, of Midvale, as well as her father and mother-in-law; Eli and Sandra Cullen Stutzman of Dover. A brother-in-law, Cary Stutzman of Dover, and a sister-in-law, Amy (husband Derrick) Zeger of Dover, also survive. In addition to her parents Kim is preceded in death by an infant sister, Candace Kowals.The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, April 17, from 4PM â?? 7PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Mr. David Contillo will lead Kim’s Memorial Service Saturday afternoon at 2PM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1212 Kelly Avenue NW, New Philadelphia. Following the memorial service, a reception will be shared in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover, 5600 North Wooster Avenue. Cremation is planned, and private inurnment will follow alongside her parents in East Avenue Cemetery. To share memories and condolences with the family, please visit the funeral home’s website.
