Kim Dean Beitzel, age 45, of Mineral City, died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at his residence.Born June 6, 1962 at Dover, he was a son of Ivan Dean and Ada Marie (McNutt) Beitzel of Zoarville.After graduating from Tusky Valley High School in 1980, Kim began his professional career most recently working for Progressive Foam Technologies in Beach City.When he was not working, Kim loved spending time with his children. His love for youth was evident in his participation with coaching football. He was an avid Tusky Valley sports fan and enjoyed cheering on the Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Indians. Golfing and hunting were also passions of his. In addition to Kim’s parents, Ivan and Ada, he will be sadly missed by his wife of nearly 4 years, Kristy Beitzel; his sons, Joshua Alan Dean Beitzel of New Philadelphia and Brandon Dean Beitzel of Mineral City; his step-children, Amber Renee Lewis, Joshua John Lewis and Logan James Rine, all of Mineral City; his sister, Corinna Jo (Kirk) Reed of West Lafayette; his brother, Kirk Dean (Susan) Beitzel of New Philadelphia; his mother-in-law, Cathy Rhodes of New Philadelphia; his sisters-in-law, Suzanne Beitzel and Becky Rhodes, both of Dover and Holly Rhodes of Tuscarawas; his brother-in-law, Bill Rhodes of Boliver; his nieces and nephews, Kasey, Brianna, Jordan, Logan, and Zack Beitzel and Thor, Tyra, and Hallie Reed; and numerous aunts and uncles.Kim was preceded in death by his brother, Clark Beitzel on October 9, 2004 and his grandparents the late Roy and Sylvia McNutt and the late Frank and Della Beitzel.Visitation will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A service celebrating Kim’s life will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. Burial alongside his brother, Clark, will immediately follow the service in Dover Burial Park at Dover. Friends and family are invited back to the Geib Funeral Center where a meal will be served in the hospitality center.The family requests memorial contributions in Kim’s memory be directed to the Tuscarawas Valley High School Athletic Boosters, 2637 Tuscarawas Valley Rd. N.E., Zoarville, OH 44656.
