Kevin Patrick

Kevin Patrick, age 44, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, December 11, 2011.A son of Wiley Patrick of Sherrodsville and the late Jewell Goff, Kevin was born at Ann Arbor, Michigan on April 5, 1967.Kevin was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and faced health challenges and illness throughout his life many of which he was able to manage and overcome through the loving support of his family.He loved animals, and enjoyed caring for his beloved dachshund, Mary, and looking after the neighborhood cats. He was a kind hearted individual who also held extensive knowledge of politics and music trivia; and was especially engrossed with Beatles lore and the late John Lennon.Kevin held a strong faith in the Lord which was largely influenced and learned from his mother. His approach to his faith was un-waivered, at times philosophical, and he enjoyed sharing his thoughts with others.In addition to his father, Kevin is survived by two sisters, Jean Versano of Dellroy, and Loretta Patrick of Cleveland; a brother, Bob Patrick and his wife Marcella of Dellroy; six nephews, Robert Patrick, Paul Patrick, Brad Patrick, Marc Geisinger, Jason Ohler and David Versano; and two nieces, Stephanie Oryszak and Renée Berlyak. Completing the family are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.In addition to his mother, Kevin was preceded in death by a sister, Nora Ohler.A private family service will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Private burial will follow in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover.The family wishes to express a most sincere thank you to Gabrielle, Dr. Myers and Dr. Schultz, who were all instrumental in providing Kevin the special care and attention he required.Memorial contributions in Kevin’s name may be directed to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 6895 Dover-Zoar Road, Dover, OH 44622
