Kenneth Trent

Kenneth Melvin Trent, Jr., age 63, of Uhrichsville, died Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Trinity Medical Center at Dennison.

Born in Ripley, West Virginia, on March 5, 1960, Ken was a son of the late Kenneth M. and Janet Hodges Trent.

Ken attended school in Cleveland and entered the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge, he spent his working career as a carpenter, woodworker, and cabinet maker. He enjoyed golfing, and fishing, and took pride in being able to support his grandchildren in their activities.

Those who knew Ken were well aware of his sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. He will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend.

He leaves behind two daughters, Jessica (Mark) Leshinski of South Amherst and Laura (Colt) McMorrow of Uhrichsville; his grandchildren, Cruz, Nolan, Brinly, and Cash McMorrow; his sisters, Cindy (Dale) Malcolm and Billie Jo Cortright as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Trent; a brother, Mark Trent and a sister, Pam Gibson.

In keeping with Ken’s wishes there will be no public services. A private graveside service will take place in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is caring for arrangements.
