Kenneth Rose, Sr.

Kenneth G. Rose, Sr., 82, of Dover, died Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in his residence following an extended illness.

Born in Mill Point, West Virginia, July 29, 1936 he was the son of the late Lee V. and Lilly E. Jackson Rose and was an honorably discharged veteran having served with the United States Army. He had worked for Hercules Inc. and then retired from American Electric Power in Covington, Virginia and was a member of the Dover First Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Delores G. Sharp, whom he married May 19, 1962; a daughter, Rebecca (Jimmy) Simpson of Lowmore, Virginia; two sons, Kenneth G. (Christine) Rose, Jr. of Dover and Gregory (Susan) Rose of Winchester, California; three sisters, Janet Dean and Carolyn McCloud both of Marlinton, West Virginia and Patricia (Jack) Loudermilk of Hillsboro, West Virginia; and six grandchildren. Four brothers have preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11 AM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover with Rev. Josh Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park at Dover. Visitation will be Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
