Kenneth “Rich” Kohler

Kenneth Richard “Rich” Kohler, age 66, of Tuscarawas, passed away in Community Hospice House on October 22, 2017 following a period of declining health.
Born in Dennison on February 21, 1951, he was the son of the late Kenneth Robert and Norma Jean (Briggs) Kohler. After graduating from Indian Valley High School in 1969, Rich served in a variety of capacities, most notably with the former Goshen Dairy and Parkway Honda.
Rich was an avid Ohio sports team enthusiast. He also enjoyed supporting his son and granddaughter’s sports teams, especially softball. Rich also bowled for years at Alpa Lanes and started the men’s softball league in Tuscarawas.
Rich will be deeply missed by his wife, Sue, of Tuscarawas, whom he married August 10, 2002; his son, Brian of Dover; his granddaughters, Alexis, Riley, and Lainey Kohler of Dover; his sisters, Roberta (Bill) Carswell of Tuscarawas and Norma (Harold) White of New Philadelphia; his step-children, Nicole Yosick of Florida and Andy Yosick of South Bloomingfield, Ohio; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in passing on October 18, 2006 by his son, Clay R. Kohler.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday beginning at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at the Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery.
