Keith A. McIntosh, 51, of Dania Beach, Florida, died Friday, April 13, 2007 at his residence after an apparent heart attack.Born September 12, 1955 in Salem, Ohio, he is the son of Karen (Paul) Berkshire of Strasburg and John (Betty) McIntosh of Minerva. After graduating from New Philadelphia High School in 1973, he continued his formal education at Kent State University obtaining a degree in engineering. At the time of his death, Keith was attending Miami University in pursuit of a master’s of business administration. Keith was employed by a division of TEVA Pharmaceuticals in Miami, Florida. He was especially found of music and enjoyed a five year tenure as a DJ at a local radio station in Broward County.The Miami Dolphins have lost an avid fan, but so have the Browns and Indians. Keith never lost sight of his hometown roots in Ohio.His parents will greatly miss their son as well as his additional family which includes his sister, Tammy (Jack) Blackledge of Bakersville, North Carolina; two brothers, John Hooks of Cheyenne, Wyoming and William McIntosh of North Pole, Alaska; step-brothers, Larry, Bob and Jim First, all of Minerva; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. LuAnn Youngman officiating. After the service, inurnment will take place at Dover Burial Park.The family requests memorial contributions be directed to either Cats N Us, 829 Union Ave., Dover, OH 44622 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
