Kay E. Smalley

Kay E. Smalley, 53, of Midvale, died Tuesday afternoon, October 19, 2004 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio following a three year illness.She was born in Dennison, Ohio on April 27, 1951 to the late Alfred and Mary (Tharp) Scott.Kay is survived by her loving husband, Tom Smalley. She is also survived by three sisters; Dale Bassett of New Philadelphia, Shirley (David) Roseberry of Midvale and Helen Waltz of Midvale, three brothers; Alfred Scott of Dennison, James (Barbara) Scott of Strasburg and Randy (Tabitha) Scott of Belfountaine, OH, nine nieces, ten nephews, 16 great nieces, 17 great nephews, six great-great nieces, five great-great nephews, Mother-in-law, Florence Smalley of Cadiz, special friend, Brook Dague of Mineral City and her dog, Scruffy.In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by two brothers, one niece, one great niece, two great nephews and two great-great nieces.In keeping with Kay’s wishes, cremation will be conducted at the Geib Tuscarawas Valley Crematory in New Philadelphia with a private service being held at the Holmes Church Cemetery at a later date.
