Kathy Jeanne Iliff Searle, 58, of Gnadenhutten, died Wednesday evening, November 1, 2017 while in the care of Community Hospice’s Truman House at New Philadelphia.
Born at Erie, Pennsylvania on May 30, 1959, Kathy was a daughter of the late Walter R. and Millicent A. Gruver Iliff.
Kathy was a 1979 graduate of River Forest High School at Indiana. She was a self-proclaimed “Jack of All Trades” who enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Searle, Jr. whom she married on December 28, 1988; her step-children, Laura, Patty, and Ralph James Searle; her siblings, Paul (Joan) Iliff, Walter R. (Erma) Iliff, Jr. all of Indiana, Chuck (Debbie) Iliff of Pennsylvania, and Laura Iliff Johnson of Florida; and a sister-in-law, Carol Iliff of Indiana.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Elizabeth and a brother, Newton Iliff.
Cremation care has been handled by Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11 a.m., in First Baptist Church of Sharon, 301 W. State St., Sharon, PA, 16146. Inurnment will immediately follow the service in Oakland Avenue Cemetery at Sharon, PA. Friends and family are invited to a reception following the committal service in the church fellowship hall.
