Kathy graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1987. She then continued her education at Kent State University graduating in 1989 with an Associate’s in Business degree. Kathy was employed by the Indian Valley School District as a cook.

She was also a member of AFSCME, a former member of the NRA, and a member of Wild Ohio and the Farm Bureau.
In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and hunting, trap shooting, reading, playing cards and board games. She also enjoyed following the Pittsburgh Steelers whom she adored immensely.
Kathy was a woman of great faith who praised and worshiped her Lord, prayed daily and also prayed with her children nightly.
It was an honor and privilege for Kathy to be the daughter of Kenny and Jackie; to be the mother of Tyler and Sarah Mattison both of Gnadenhutten; the sister of Karen and her husband Timothy Marzec of Leo, Indiana; the aunt of Kyle and Courtney Marzec and a cousin, friend and neighbor to many others.
