Kathy E Rohe

Kathy Elaine (Schide) Rohe, age 57, of New Philadelphia, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 in Hennis Care Center at Dover God chose to take her home following a courageous battle with cancer.Born November 17, 1954, she was the daughter of Paul Schide of Bradenton, Florida and the late Louise Elizabeth (Ciotti) Schide, who preceded her in death on November 18, 2010.She was a 1973 graduate of New Philadelphia before pursing a degree in fashion marketing from Stark State. Most recently, she was in training to obtain certification as an occupational therapist before she became ill.Throughout her professional career, Kathy worked for JC Penny, Russ Berry, and was a merchandiser for Hallagan Fine Furniture. She also was a co-owner of the former Rohe Racing. Kathy greatly enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, and her prayer group friends. She had a great sense of humor that will be missed by all. She also loved girls night out with Michelle.Her faith was most recently nurtured at New Life Church of God in Dover.Kathy will be deeply missed by her sister, Karen (Robert) Sterling of New Philadelphia; her brother, Loren (Kendra) Schide of Bellbrook, O.; her nephew and nieces, Bryce Schide of Toledo, Amber (Eric) Garner of North Canton, Abbey (Andrew) Booth of Powell, O., and Ali Sterling of Columbus; her great-niece and great-nephew, Chloe and Mitchell Garner; her dear friends, Michelle Alexander, Connie May, Gail Schreiner, Carol Miller, and Shirley Phillabaum; her former husband of 26 years, John Rohe of Tennessee; aunts, Nancy (Earl) Wright of Troy, O. and Clareece Ciotti of Boardman, O.; an uncle, Howard (Cathi) Schide of Warrenton, Missouri; and numerous cousins.In keeping with Kathy’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.
