Kathy Chenevey

Kathy Ann Chenevey, age 71, of Dover, died Thursday, October 14, 2021, in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center at Canton following a period of declining health.

Born on March 22, 1950, in Dover, Kathy was a daughter of James Carney of Dover and the late Ruth Brobst Carney.

She was a 1968 graduate of Dover High School and worked in the insurance industry and for the former Stambaugh Lumber Company. Kathy loved caring for her family, traveling, exploring new destinations, volunteering with the Tusky Valley Band Boosters, and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her father, Kathy is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Steven Chenevey, whom she married on June 16, 1972, their children, Jacob (Alexandra) Chenevey of Findlay, Ohio, and Jessica (Matthew) Wilkes of Aurora, Ohio; grandchildren, Roen and Marin Chenevey, and Alexandra and James Wilkes; two brothers, James Carney of Dover and Tom (Deb) Carney of Dennison as well as her nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Kathy’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation care will be conducted through the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
