December 14, 1932 — April 4, 2005

Kathryn L. Robinson, 73, of New Philadelphia went home to be with the Lord Monday April 4, 2005 at Union Hospital at Dover, O. following a lengthy illness.A daughter of the late John R. and Ila E. Calhoun Beavers, Kathryn was born January 14, 1932, in Scotch Ridge, Ohio near Mt. Pleasant in Belmont Co.She was a 1949 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. A member of the Church of the Living God at New Philadelphia, past member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Kathryn enjoyed camping and was a member of the Tusco Travelers Camping Club and for many years performed with her husband as a vocalist at many area nursing homes.She is survived by her husband, Herbert Robinson, Jr. whom she married December 24, 1949; daughters, Barbara C. (Danny K.) Leishman, and Debora “Reb” (Rodney) Short, both of New Philadelphia, O.; son, David A. (Patti) Robinson, of Chicago, Il.; sisters, Mrs. Elvin (Dolores) Robinson and Mrs. Robert (Lucille) Bucher; brothers, Charles (Gerry) Beavers, Ernest Beavers, Raymond (Marsha) Beavers and James (Leila) Beavers; grandchildren, Lindsay (Chris) Lewis of Mineral City, James Short of New Philadelphia and Daniel Robinson of Chicago; two great granddaughters, Madison and “K-Bug” Lewis; and nieces and nephews.Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Willard.Visitation will be Thursday April 7, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with a candlelighting service at 8 p.m. In accordance with her wishes cremation will follow and a private burial will be held at Roxford Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
