Kathleen Ruth Hooper

Kathleen Ruth Hooper, 78, of Dundee, died November 14, 2006, in Aultman Hospital at Canton, Ohio.Kathleen was born on July 12, 1928, at Stone Creek, to the late Harry B. and Ethel McPherson. Kathleen was a graduate of Stone Creek High School. She worked for General Electric and also Dover Conveyor here in town. While working at Dover Conveyor, Kathleen met her husband and together they moved to Naples, Florida in 1981 where they resided until 2005. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Schnittke, Helen Judy, and Evelyn Johnson. She’ll be sadly missed by her husband of 27 years, Gerald Paul Hooper, children, Dorothy Driskill of Naples, Florida, Linda (Gary) Rosenfeld of Tampa, Florida, Roderick McDonald of Naples, Florida; grandson, David (Karen) Swinehart of Venice, Florida; great-grandsons, Eric Swinehart and Alex Swinehart; brothers, Richard (Dolly) McPherson of Apache Junction, Arizona, Gene (Martyne) McPherson of Bakersvillle, Ohio; sisters, Margaret (Jack) Haas of Dover, Mabel (Clarence) Albright of Huntsville, Alabama, Phyllis (Glen) Degen of Stone Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews.The Rev. Hugh Berry will lead the Hooper funeral service Saturday at 2:00 pm in the Linn-Hert Geib Funeral Home & Crematory chapel at New Philadelphia with calling hours from 12:00-2:00 pm in the funeral home.
