Kathleen Louise (Hall) Pittis, 75 of New Philadelphia, passed away July 27, 2009 in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover from metastatic liposarcoma.Born in Smyrna, Ohio on January 22, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Boyd and Hazel Kent Hall. She lived the majority of her life in New Philadelphia where she worked at Beaber�s IGA and Starlight School.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jeffrey and Deborah Pittis of Bangor, Maine; son-in-law, Gilbert Westbrook of New Philadelphia; grandchildren Jonalee (Limbacher) Fernatt and Michael Fernatt both of New Philadelphia, and Matthew, Patrick and Jennifer Pittis all of Bangor, Maine; two great-grandchildren, Braden and Adeline Fernatt; four sisters, Marjorie Davidson, Valeria Rice, Agnes Larrick and Vivian Tedrick, and one brother, Boyd Hall, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Dwight Pittis who passed away on September 30, 2004; a daughter Debra Westbrook who passed away on April 11, 1999 and two brothers Virgil and Harley Hall.Friends are invited to call Friday July 31, 2009 from 5-8 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. Graveside services will be Saturday August 1, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Following the committal service, a reception for family and friends will be held in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home.The family wishes to thank the staff at Park Village, Hospice of Tuscarawas County and friends Becky Price and Eileen Miller.The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622 or to the charity of the donor�s choice.
