Katherine O. Reichman, 96, of Pinehurst, North Carolina and formerly of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2011 in Colonial House at Pinehurst.A daughter of the late Perle and Nora (Nussdorfer) Henry, Katherine was born October 10, 1914 at Gnadenhutten, Ohio.Katherine graduated from Tuscarawas-Warwick High School in 1932. Then on June 26, 1937, she married the love of her life, Raymond R. Reichman. The couple shared 55 years of marriage prior to Raymond’s passing in 1992.At the age of four, Katherine began attending Sharon Moravian Church and was a member for the 78 years. She served as a Sunday School teacher for 40 of those years. She was also employed by Snyder Manufacturing for 25 years and retired in 1962. She is survived by her daughter, Rosalie (Joe) Pepe of Pinehurst, North Carolina; a son Thomas (Patricia) Reichman of Fairplay, Colorado; a grandson, Ray (Perri) Butler of Monument, Colorado; a great grandson, Rhett Butler of Laramie, Wyoming and a great granddaughter, Rhiannon (A.J.) Kaltenbach of Miamisburg, Ohio. She is also survived by two step grandchildren, Cindy and James Raymer and their respective families and special friends, Armstrong and Adelia Wiggins and their family. Katherine also played a significant role in the lives of her nieces and nephews (the Cochran Five) and considered them as an extension of her own family.Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond; three sisters, Mary Canfield, Helen Davis and Alice Limbaugh and a brother, Lawrence Henry.The family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and again one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. A funeral service celebrating Katherine’s life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11 a.m. in Sharon Moravian Church with Rev. Dennis G. Rohn officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery. Following the committal service, a luncheon will be held in the fellowship hall at the church.Contributions may be made in Katherine’s memory to Sharon Moravian Church, P.O.
