Karen B Frame

September 14, 1945 — June 17, 2013

Karen B. Frame, 67, of Dover, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 17, 2013 from her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

A daughter of the late John A. Hawkins Jr. and the late Phyllis C. (Yeater) Hawkins, Karen was born in Union Hospital at Dover on September 14, 1945.

Karen graduated from Midvale High School in 1963. On September 16, 1966, she married the love of her life, John Frame and together the couple raised three children, Gary, Matthew and Jennifer.

She was formerly employed at Job & Family Services of Tuscarawas County. Karen was a member of the Church of Christ at New Philadelphia where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for 37 years. She thoroughly cherished the opportunity to teach the children.

Karen was an avid craft maker and she especially enjoyed card making and stamping. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening. One of her greatest passions was traveling with her family, her favorite destinations being the Outer Banks of North Carolina and cruising on Route 66.

She is survived by her husband John of the home; her children, Gary (Julie) Frame of Cambridge, Matthew (Debra) Frame of Canton and Jennifer (Steve Mastroianni) Frame of Cleveland; her grandchildren, Jason and Andrew Frame, Kevin Betz and Nathan Frame and Frances and Antonia Mastroianni; two sisters, Kathy (Geoffrey) Albright of Newcomerstown and Kim Hawkins of Dover; a niece Tiffany (Jason) Mann; a nephew, Ross Frame and 4 great nieces.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Karen’s life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Minister Tim Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. Following the committal service, a luncheon will be held in the fellowship hall at the Church of Christ.
