Judy K. Schatz

Judith “Judy” K. Schatz, 62, of Dover, passed away Sunday morning, May 1, 2005, at New Dawn Health Care Center following complications with multiple sclerosis.Judy was born in New Philadelphia on June 23, 1942, to Mr. & Mrs. Edgar A. and Martha Jane (Wampfler) Green. After graduating from New Philadelphia High School, she continued her formal education at Union College in Kentucky.In addition to her loving adopted family at New Dawn Health Care Center, Judy will be sadly missed by her two sons, Steve Schatz of India Lantic, Florida, and Eric (Tracey) Schatz of Mimbres, New Mexico; her sister, Sandra “Sonie” (Bill) Cooper of Monte Sereno, California; a niece and nephew, Stephanie (Neeraj) Kochhar and Kent (Lisa) Cooper, all of California; an aunt, Tootsie Springer of Dover; an uncle, Doyal Wampfler of New York; and many special friends and cousins.A Memorial Service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home Chapel in New Philadelphia on Friday, May 6, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. Pastor James Mason will officiate the service. A reception at the Geib Family Center, located adjacent to the funeral home, will follow the service.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. 3rd St., Dover, OH 44622, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 651G Lakeview Plaza Blvd., Worthington, OH 43085, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
