Judy Charlene Martin

Judy Charlene Martin, 56, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, June 26, 2005, at the Cleveland Clinic.A daughter of William and Corabel (Dailey) Leek, Judy was born August 11, 1948 in Wheeling, West Virginia.She attended the First Moravian Church in Dover. She also had many interests such as music, singing, gardening and playing cards.Her family and friends will fondly remember Judy as a gentle person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.She is survived by her parents, William and Corabel Leek of New Philadelphia; her long-time companion, Dwight Martin of New Philadelphia; three children, Barbara (Jeff) Walters of New Philadelphia, James (Angie) Johnson and John “Mike” Johnson; ten grandchildren; and four brothers, Bill, Larry, Mike and Joe.One sister preceded Judy in death.Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Elder Glenn Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia.Memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s name to the Salvation Army, 301 North Wooster Avenue, Dover, OH 44622.
