Judith Ione Brown

Judith Ione Brown, age 66, of Canton, died early Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at The Pines Nursing Home in Canton following a battle with cancer.

Born in Toronto, Canada on July 24, 1955, Judith was a daughter of the late J. Robert McFarlane and Ione (Stevenson) McFarlane.

She was a missionary, teacher and caregiver at heart.  Teaching in several Christian Schools before going to Bolivia as a missionary for over 23 years.  After returning to the states, Judith married Stephen Brown on January 1, 2015.  Together they enjoyed almost 7 years of marriage.  Judith was a member of the Emmanuel Church in New Philadelphia where she served as the secretary.

She is survived by her step-mother, Virginia McFarlane of New Philadelphia; her brother, Leslie (Debbie) McFarlane of Fairbanks Alaska, nieces, Brenda and Linda, a nephew, Benjamin; 4 great nephews and 1 great niece.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory of New Philadelphia, and again one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.  Funeral Services will be held at Emmanuel Church 1434 South Broadway Street, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663, on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 11:00am.  Burial will follow in Fair Street Cemetery in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
