Joyce Wallace

Joyce Elaine Wallace, age 74, of Uhrichsville passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 in Trinity Hospital Twin City at Dennison.

She was born in Dennison to the late Robert Henry Newton and Mary Jane Baumholtz Newton on February 6, 1944.

Joyce graduated from Uhrichsville High School in 1962 and was currently employed as a Home Health Aide with Ember Complete Care in Uhrichsville.

Joyce’s life centered around her family. She loved cooking big meals and having all of her family come home and spend time together. She also loved to go shopping, especially to purchase things for her grandchildren. Joyce was a care giver at heart and the most important thing the her was caring for others and especially her family.

Joyce was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Uhrichsville and also enjoyed playing cards with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, the late William L. Wallace, who passed away December 9, 2017. Surviving are her children, Kim (Greg) Zontini of New Philadelphia, Marti Langdon, Bill Wallace and Bub (Jenn) Wallace all of Uhrichsville; and 10 grandchildren, Jessika Zontini, Will, Joe, Matt and Jack Langdon, Averi, Hannah, Kendyl, Kole, and Whitnee Wallace.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by two brothers, George Newton and Robert Michael Newton.

In keeping with her wishes, her body is to be cremated through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory and a private family graveside service will be held in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville at a later date.
