Joyce Kay Striker

Joyce Kay Striker, 56, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 in Union Hospital at Dover.A daughter of the late Earl and Marion (Buss) McMurray, Joyce was born October 21, 1949 at Dover, Ohio.Joyce graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1967. She was an avid animal lover and she enjoyed training dogs.She is survived by one daughter, Lisa (Rick) Penrod of Junction City, Ohio; one son, Fred Miller of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Elyssa Miller of Dover, Alisha Penrod of Junction City, Ohio and Billy Crites Jr. of Dennison; sisters, Janet (Jim) Trotter of Florida and Doris Penrod of Oklahoma; special caretakers, Jim, Karla, Trevor, Mark and Brianna Striker and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents.In keeping with Joyce’s wishes there will be no visitation observed and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
