Josephine Pasquinelli, age 99, of Beacon Pointe Center at Uhrichsville, and a longtime resident of Wainwright, died Wednesday afternoon following an extended illness. The last surviving of sixteen siblings, Josephine was born March 19, 1907 in Angera, Italy, to the late Stefano and Marie Banchi Vesco. Remembered as the consummate homemaker, Josephine married Angelo Pasquinelli on October 18, 1924. The pair was married for more than sixty-one years before his death on October 15, 1985. During this time, Josephine was known to take wonderful care of her husband, and her son, the late Steve A. Pasquinelli who preceded his mother in death in 1997. At Wainwright, she was a longtime member of the Alter Society, and was partly responsible for the famous spaghetti dinners put on by the society. Josephine was also a member of Warwick Senior Citizens. One highlight of her life included a trip to her homeland where she met relatives with whom she exchanged letters with until recently. Her survivors are numerous and include countless nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by those with whom she was especially close, including her nephew John Gribble of New Philadelphia, and nieces Robin Gribble and Candy Watson, both of Copley, Ohio, and a caring friend and neighbor, Christine Beamer. In addition to her parents, husband, and son, Josephine was preceded in death by ten brothers and five sisters.
