Josephine E Quillen

Josephine E. Quillen, 88, a resident of Park Village Health Care Center in Dover, formerly of New Philadelphia and Tuscarawas, died Friday, December 12, 2003, at Union Hospital.She was born in Dover, OH, on April 4, 1915, to John H. and Anna McCartney Horn, and was a l933 graduate of Dover High School.Married to the now late Elton A. Quillen on July 23, l934, Josephine became a homemaker and mother, and was active in a variety of church organizations at the First Christian Church in New Philadelphia. Josephine is survived by two sons, Ed of New Philadelphia, and Richard of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a granddaughter, Candie (Thomas) Gordon Gomola of Margate, FL; three great-granddaughters, Tiffani, Trisha, and Tara; a great great-grandson, Mitchell, and a sister, June (Glenn) Bair of Dover.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Shirley Ann Gordon; and a brother, Donald John Horn.Services for Josephine will be conducted by Pastor Mark Trotter.in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel on Monday, December 15, 2003 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at East Avenue Cemetery. Friends may call on the family at the funeral home on Sunday evening, December 14, 2003 from 6 to 8 pm.
