Joseph R. Fouts, 73, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007, in Hennis Care Centre at Dover.A son of the late Clyde and Lena (Long) Fouts, Joe was born December 1, 1933, in Newport, Ohio. Joe retired from Warner & Swasey in 1995 after 42 years as a welder. He was a member of the Roxford United Methodist Church.Joe was a wonderful husband, loving father, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His hobbies included hunting and fishing trips to Tappen Lake.In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Penny Kay Wallick; infant granddaughter, Noel Wallick; sisters-in-law, Norma Fouts, and Maxine Fouts; brothers-in-law, Melvin Gribble, and Floyd Waller.He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Lou Fouts; son, Joseph Michael (Dianne) Fouts of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Kiris Renee Wallick, Corey Michael Fouts, Cody Andrew Fouts, and April Kay Fouts; brothers, Frank Fouts of Newport, Ohio, John (Blanche) Fouts of Dundee, and Clyde (Louise) Fouts of New Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Wilma Waller; brother-in-law, Edwin (Doris) Gribble Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.Friends are invited to call Sunday, February 25, 2007, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.Pastor Bob Mathias and Rev. Henry Mooney will lead the funeral service on Monday, February 26, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
