Joseph Montgomery “Monty” Conner, 48, of Gnadenhutten, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 13, 2006 in Twin City Hospital in Dennison.A son of Lois (Bacon) West and Floyd Conner, Monty was born June 25, 1957 in Cushing, Oklahoma.He was a 1974 graduate of Triway High School in Wooster, Ohio. Monty was the owner and operator of White Buffalo Services Trucking Company in Gnadenhutten and he also worked on oil rigs.Monty was an avid hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed riding motorcycles. He also loved to collect antique toys.He is survived by his mother, Lois West of Wooster, Ohio; father and step-mother, Floyd and Deanne Conner of New Philadelphia; fiancé, Donna Cunningham of Gnadenhutten; brother, Jeff Conner of Florida; sister, Robin Conner of New Philadelphia; step-brother, John (Patty) Doby of New Philadelphia, Jason (Katie) Rauch of New Philadelphia and Thomas (Kristy) Rauch of Dennison; step-sister, Michelle (Charles) Henley of North Carolina; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2006 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Monty’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Pastor Dode Overton officiating. Burial will follow in Stone Creek Cemetery.
