Joseph Blaine Miller

Joseph Blaine Miller, Sr., 80, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, December 5, 2016 in Akron General Medical Center following a period of declining health.

A son of the late Joseph Mac and Clare Edna (Iames) Miller, Joseph was born September 29, 1936 at Wellsburg, West Virginia.

He is survived by his children, Joey (Janet) Miller Jr. of Steubenville, Mike (Joann) Miller of Wellsburg, WV, Tammy (Dennis) Hamann of Massillon, Dave (Tammy) Miller of New Philadelphia, Gina (Dave) Boyer of Zanesville, Dale (Amber) Miller of Wadsworth and Shawn (Joyce) Miller of Bowerston; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a sister, Doris Coppa of Wellsburg, WV.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Regina (Aurand) Miller and two sons, Larry and Tim Miller.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Joseph’s life will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery at Sandyville.
