Jonathan Wayne Sprinkle

Jonathan Wayne Sprinkle, age 62, of New Philadelphia died on Thursday, November 10, 2016.

A son of Mary and Paul Dallos of Virginia and the late Myron Sprinkle, Jonathan was born at Elyria on January 24, 1954.

Following graduation from Elyria High School, Jonathan worked for a period of time at a steel mill and later became a stay at home father. He relocated to New Philadelphia in the late 90s and for the past 18 years has been employed by the Kimble Companies.

Jonathan was an avid Star Wars and Ohio State Buckeyes Fan. He enjoyed fishing and following the Cleveland Browns.

In addition to his mother and step-father, Jonathan is survived by his wife, the former Bonnie Lax, whom he married in June, 2000; three sons, Jonathon Paul Sprinkle of the home, Patrick (Melissa) Sprinkle of New York, and Matthew Sprinkle also of the home; a sister, Kimberly (David) McNichols of Virginia; two sisters-in-law, Sandy (Rick) Engler and Cheryl (Barry) Shepherd all of New Philadelphia; a brother-in-law, Greg (Ida) Adkins of Georgia; family friends, Rick and Debbie McCoy; his best friend, George Yovanovich, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will greet guests on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 4-7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Jonathan’s life will be led by his brother-in-law, Greg Adkins on Tuesday, November 15 at 2 PM in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. A meal and fellowship will be shared in the Geib Family Center, following services.
