John W. Huff, 71, of Uhrichsville, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 in the Cleveland Clinic at Cleveland following a sudden illness.
Born August 18, 1948 in Dover, he was the son of the late Roland and Elsie (Sligar) Huff. John was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and had retired from Belden Brick where he worked as a forklift driver. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the Piedmont Fishing Club.
On June 13, 1970, he married his wife, Karen G. Huff of the residence. Also surviving are his daughter, Kim (Joe) Huff of Sherrodsville; four grandsons, Cody Huff and Zachery Dayton of Uhrichsville and Brock Dayton and Ethan Huff of Sherrodsville; a step- grandson, Justin Huff of Sherrodsville; a great granddaughter Jerzzi Dayton of Dennison; his faithful little dog, Gracie and three brothers, Donald (Judy) Huff of Midvale, Bill (Deb) Huff of Wainwright and Dan (Lisa) Huff of New Philadelphia.
In addition to his parents, a brother and a sister also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 4 to 7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia. In keeping with his wishes, following the visitation, John is to be cremated through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
