John V Goodwin

John V. Goodwin, 56, of Dover, died early Thursday morning, October 21, 2010 in Union Hospital at Dover following a brief illness.A son of John J. and Janet (Stringer) Goodwin, John was born January 25, 1954 in Union Hospital at Dover, Ohio.John was a 1972 graduate of Dover High School and was a self employed carpet installer. He also was an avid fan of Formula One Racing.In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, John Hemonetoes of Florida; two brothers, Joe (Rene) Goodwin of Dover and Jeff (April) Goodwin of New Philadelphia; two nephews, Joel (Cortney) Goodwin of Dover and Jacob Goodwin of New Philadelphia; a great nephew, Caden Goodwin; a great niece, Katrina Kenosky both of Dover and dear friend, John Overholt.John was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Goodwin and Joe and Helen Stringer.The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A service celebrating John’s life will follow in the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Steve Jenkins officiating. Following the service, a memorial reception will be held in the Hospitality Room at the Geib Funeral Center.
