John Francis White

John Francis White, 82, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, March 16, 2014 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a lengthy illness.

A son of the late Paul Revere White Sr. and the late Esta Almeda (Leach) White, John was born February 19, 1932.

John was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. He was employed as a truck driver for many years and when not driving for work he enjoyed driving for pleasure.

He is survived by a brother, Harold White Sr. of New Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Erma (Espenschied) White and his siblings, Melvin White, Paul White Jr., Evelyn Walker, Fern Richards and Annabelle White.

In keeping with John’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Entombment will take place in East Avenue Mausoleum at a later date.
