John David Reynolds

John David Reynolds, 57, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2005, at his residence.A son of John H. and Nina R. (Barrett) Reynolds, John was born February 16, 1948 in Elkins, West Virginia.Having been a member of the first graduating class of Claymont High School, John graduated in 1966. Due to his illness, he took early retirement in 1987 from Hercules Engine in Canton.On June 26, 1967 in Manteo, North Carolina, John married the former Elizabeth “Libby” Reynolds. He and Libby then raised two children, Nic and Tim.John enjoyed traveling over the years and especially the trips to Europe. One of his passions however, was his 1968 Ford Mustang.He is survived by his parents, John and Nina Reynolds; his wife Libby; his two sons, Nicholas J. (Valerie) Reynolds of Louisville, Ohio and Timothy R. (Casey) Reynolds of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Garrett, Alyssa, Bryant and John Reynolds; one sister, Jane (James) Smith of Bowerston; one brother, Frank E. (Lauren) Reynolds of Holland, Ohio; and many other family members.He was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Reynolds.Family and friends may call on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A service celebrating John’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with John “Jake” Cihon officiating.
