John A. Wright

John A. Wright, 71, of Strasburg, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in his home following a short battle with cancer.

A son of the late Floyd and Martha (Judy) Wright, John was born April 24, 1941 at Parral, Ohio.

John was a veteran of the United States Army and he retired from the Village of Strasburg in 2003 where he worked on the street department.

He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. John also had a passion for drag racing and would often attend races in Magnolia.

He is survived by his wife, Karen (Page) Wright whom he married on June 15, 1962; his children, Shawn (fiancé, Dave Hartline) Nicewander of Strasburg, John (Renea) Wright II of Millersburg and Vallya (Troy) Raderchak of Strasburg; his grandchildren, Brianne (Jesse) Steed, Courtney Nicewander, Jenna and Tyler Wright and Nicole and Taylor Raderchak; a great grandson, Clayton Steed and a sister, Linda Large of North Canton.

John was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Cody Raderchak; a sister, Shirley Kendle and a brother, Bobby Wright.

In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.
