Joett Elaine Cutright, age 70, of Zanesville, died unexpectedly, Monday, October 28, 2024.
Born in Akron, Ohio on February 5, 1954, Joett was a daughter of the late Jessie Weatherford and Donna Mae (Osborne) Mendell.
Joett furthered her education at the Wayne County Schools Career Center where she obtained her training to become an LPN, a career in which she enjoyed for 40 years until her retirement in 2022.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who found immense joy in caring for her family, always showering them with unconditional love. With a heart as big as her smile, she never missed a chance to make everyone feel special. Known affectionately as the family's 'local meteorologist', she kept close tabs on the weather and made it her mission to keep everyone informed - no matter what the forecast. Her knack for keeping us prepared for every storm and sunny day alike was just one of the many ways she showed her love.
Joett will be missed by her daughters, Denise (Robert) Neff, Kelly (Matthew) Cominsky; her grandchildren, Alison Barr, Matthew (fiancée Emmalee) Johnson, Claire Cominsky, and Christian Neff; her nieces, Angela (Mike) Richardson, Shelby (Brian) Patton and the entire Wayne family from Louisville, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, Joett was preceded in death by a son-in-law John Barr.
A private service will be held in the Dover Burial Park. The Geib Funeral Center at Dover is handling arrangements.
