JoEllen Scott, 62, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, March 07, 2009 in Schoenbrunn Healthcare at New Philadelphia following a courageous battle with cancer.A daughter of the late Merle and June (Edwards) Scott, JoEllen was born August 3, 1946 at Dover, Ohio.JoEllen was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and she was an employee of Zimmer Orthopedic and Surgical Products at Dover for 31 years. She cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Smitley and her husband, Jesse; two sons, Michael Wood and his companion, Melissa Logan and Greg Wood all of New Philadelphia; two grandsons, Nathan Chitti of Dover and Cory Wood of New Philadelphia and her beloved dog, Tigger.In keeping with JoEllen’s wishes, cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 1 p.m. in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia with Kevin Anslow officiating.Contributions may be made in JoEllen’s memory to Susan G.
